So now Amsterdam is my new home, however brief. In particular, I am staying at the
Bilderberg Garden on Dijsselhofplantsoen, in a very toney neighborhood replete with the kinds of houses that operate discreetly hidden security cameras to scan their front
yards. The homes are solidly built edifices with double storey stained glass windows, brass + redwood double doors to garages and fuel gobbling pleasure boats in the canal behind the house.
I recognize I otherwise could not afford to live in this part of town, but it makes the visit quite relaxing to be in this park-like setting for a few days.
