TRANSITIONS
Moving Day at work...again! | The bureaucratic powers that be once again have seen fit for me to move | This time to an office area at the opposite end of the building where I'd been accustomed to hiding with the file cabinets | This is alright, I suppose | I'm getting a bigger space; I'll have to share it, but with part-timers | The reason stated is that my program needs a separate storage are for our records and files | No arguement there | Too bad we had to wait until an FOI request came for the relevant administrator to agree to allow this to happen |
Now, the MIS people [the computer system geniuses] were busy, and one of them says to move my PC on a cart myself | I don this only to learn that the clearance codes have to be reconfigured before I can access my data | Today I have to move it back to the new file room if I want to do any work |
The next most delicate move was the philodendron, which hangs from the ceiling with tendrils approaching 3 metres long | I think I'll deal with that one personally |
