We were at a fund-raiser for one of the local candidates and when I turned away from the crowd, the pool seemed much lock a David Hockney painting, only this is Connecticut and it's not anywhere close to Hollywood and no one was swimming.
I played around in Photoshop and brought it even closer to what I'd expect a Hockney to look like. Here's a comparison ~ Hockney's Pool and Two Figures on the bottom.
