antiquing
The following images were all captured in the New London area during a trip to the New London Antiques Center yesterday.
The office - I love this shot. Evocative of some Renaissance painting interior picture.
left: Maytag wringer washer || right: Office chair missing a wheel
Lamps and "fire extinguisher"
Gilbert chemistry set
Anita Bryant - "Provocative Stereo" [even at a cost of only 90 cents I still didn't buy it]
Luggage - lots of things in which to take my new bought goodies home And just in case you are wondering, yes, I did buy things. Two books -
Andreas Feininger's TREES and
Birds of Prey by Alan Richards; three 33 rpm vinyl records [Seals + Crofts - "Diamond Girl", Simply Red's "Picture Book" and a quirky album of covers of Beatle's tunes from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the performers everyone from Peter Frampton, Earth Wind and Fire, Steve Martin, Alice Cooper and [
this last one a surprise] George Burns [
the comedian] doing "Fixing a Hole"] Can't wait to play it. Oh, I almost forgot, the photo I submitted to the
Hygienic Art Show as "Missing in Action".
